In this edition of the Newsletter “Future. Us and Web 3.0” we talk about the new version of the Metaverse and the evolution of Artificial Intelligence, which is becoming increasingly “Physical” (through Robots and extensions of human capabilities) and its interfacing with the reality of Spatial Computing.

More and more appearances of Robots are showing up in regards to physical places, magazine covers, awards, projects of large companies, new applications and new capabilities in development.

XR and Spatial computing
Google formalizes a partnership with Vive (XR, Mixed Reality area) and has also released its Android XR platform, a project close to the Apple Vision Pro one.

Meanwhile, Samsung presents Moohan, its new visor equipped with the Gemini Generative AI (again from Google) that enters the market in a strategic position between Meta (Quest) and Apple (Vision Pro).

Meta makes further progresses also with its glasses made with RayBan: new functions, new skills and European marketing permits now in the approval phase. New acquisitions also by Essilor Luxottica on the Artificial Intelligence front with attention to the “health” side of the project, with aids for hearing disabilities.

Metaverse 2.0
Still Jen-Hsun Huang (CEO of NVIDIA), still from CES in Las Vegas, spoke about Omniverse, a new development of the Metaverse oriented to the B2B world, and industry in particular.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, importance was given to emerging and immersive technologies defined as “Industrial Metaverse“.
