In this edition of the Newsletter “Future. Us and Web 3.0” we have selected news, data and research, videos, use cases and many ideas to understand how and to what extent AI is going well beyond the PC and ChatGPT.
Hardware and software news in the world of emerging technologies, with Artificial Intelligence that enhances Mixed Reality (XR), new glasses, visors, smartphones and services together with the increasingly present Augmented Reality. Accelerations also in the Cyber world and increasingly smart humanoids but also more human in “body” language.
We examine Meta‘s data and motivations regarding the new Quest 3S visor, available at a lower price than the previous one to facilitate an entry into the world of Mixed and Virtual Reality. Mark Zuckerberg presented the new “ORION” glasses, made in collaboration with Ray-Ban and carrying a lot of technology inside them, with projectors that create holograms inside the lens, eye and hand tracking and voice control.

Apple presented its AI technology with the release of the new iPhone 16, which brings on board its personal “Visual intelligence“, a system of machine learning and Augmented Reality. Google instead introduced its Pixel 9 smartphone and its own evolution of Artificial Intelligence, Gemini.
YouTube also announced AI services for the Creators of the platform.
Snapchat presented its Spectacles 2, the new release of Augmented Reality glasses, while Pico released its 4Ultra viewers for Virtual and Mixed Reality aimed at training, development and education fields.

For the Robotics sector we analyze the health sector, and also news from Neuro Link (by Elon Musk), Disney and its AnimaTronics which uses humanoid machines for film and entertainment productions, Figure and the Italian based Oversonics, that are both starting functional robotics tests within the assembly lines of large companies.

Bloomingdale opens its virtual mall with 3D virtual environments in the Metaverse to Chanel, Nespresso, Ralph Lauren, while Adidas‘ digital clothing collections for avatars also arrive in Fortnite.
New research from McKinsey, Vive and the United Nations confirms the spread interest in Mixed Reality among authoritative sectors and transversal professional disciplines.
